Series 3 Episode 8 - Ben and Lucy of From Rust to Roadtrip

Lucy and Ben are the couple behind From Rust to Road Trip, a project documenting their years-long journey across 34 countries, from Western Europe through to Western Asia, in a series of self-converted vans. Leaving behind everyday life in Cornwall, they set out to prove that you don't need a professional skill set or a perfect plan—just the willingness to learn as you go. Their current project is a full rebuild of a 1988 Freight Rover Sherpa, transformed into a 4x4 using Land Rover parts, ahead of their next major adventure: a 15,000-mile drive from Land's End in Cornwall to Land's End in Southern India. Along the way, they share the realities of life on the road, from roadside repairs and treacherous winter driving to the quiet, remote communities that have shaped their journey, all while encouraging others to slow down, embrace different cultures, and say yes to opportunity.
